- Operating Process for Events/Programs <> BOD supervision
- Br Oussama – Two main problem statements are being expressed
- How do we get events/programs reviewed and approved – currently there is no process or policy established for reviewing and approving an event formally.
- There needs to be a criteria/threshold when formal approval of a program is needed. In addition to this, event lead takes the responsibility to “inform” the Board about the details of the program/event
- Who is setting and approving the budget of these events. How is the budget set?
- Action: Create a policy and a process for event/program review/approvals (includes budgets) @Asad S

- Everyone should look at the events spreadsheet to make themselves familiar with upcoming events
- Unity Center
- More conversations with the City continue. Umar bhai leading. They wanted more programs on specific dates for specific hrs. We shared with them the reciprocative # of hrs per year 120hrs for each party
- Settlement of moneys they owe us back for rentals. This was a bit unclear. On Monday, Umar bhai had a meeting with their finance director, and they sent us $19K. 2nd check is on its way. These payments are only for 2026. They will be also clearing the dues for previous years. We ave received so far $113K. These funds will be deposited to the Masjid funds account
- Umar bhai also discussing additional repairs and maintenance for UC before the change of control happens
- Asad S to be included in contractual process. Umar bhai will introduce
- Facilities Manager
- Someone has been identified to help with this.
- BOD will create the JD for the role
- Will be presenting to full board with responsibilities and costs for formal approvals
- Must happen at the same time as the change of control of UC
- New Memberships Campaign
- Asad S presented a new campaign for memberships. 300 Strong.
- Unity Center will be the main hook for this campaign. The campaign will run all of Q4 End of Sep to end of Dec.
- Received the go ahead by BODs
- Fall Youth Night Oct 31st
- Asad S shared FYN planning and kick off. No concerns from BODs
