Organizational Reinstatement

The trustees reaffirmed that reinstating MHMA’s organizational status is the top priority.

  • An attorney has been selected to lead the process.

  • Work is underway to complete the necessary filings as efficiently as possible.

Strengthening MHMA’s Structure

To better protect community assets and future projects, trustees discussed a plan to:

  • Establish a stronger, more secure organizational structure, and

  • Ensure MHMA follows best practices used by other large masajid and Islamic nonprofits.

Research is currently being gathered from well-established organizations across California.

Improving Administrative Systems

The trustees emphasized the importance of:

  • Timely tax filings

  • Accurate bookkeeping

  • Regular internal reviews

  • Long-term compliance and accountability

These improvements aim to ensure MHMA remains stable, transparent, and well-managed for years to come.
