Community Update: A Major Step Forward for the Masjid Project
We are excited to share some wonderful news about the Masjid project. After months of effort and patience, a major milestone has been achieved. The city planning division has approved the land subdivision of the 7-acre lot with 5-acres for the Masjid.
This is an important step in a long process. While the project is not fully finalized yet, this approval shows real progress and brings us closer to our goal. The next stage will involve procedural steps before the matter is brought to the City Council meeting for final approval.

Building a Masjid is not just about bricks and mortar. It is about creating a space for prayer, community, learning, and service. Every milestone we achieve takes us one step closer to making that vision a reality.
A Journey of Patience and Partnership
This process has been long and at times complicated, but through patience and perseverance, we have moved forward. One of the key reasons for this success has been the strong relationship built with the City of Mountain House. Working closely and respectfully with city officials has made it possible to navigate challenges and keep the project moving.
Leadership and Teamwork
The Masjid committee lead by Asad jafri has spent countless hours working towards this, we also want to acknowledge the leadership of MHMA President, Umar Sear, whose commitment and steady guidance have been instrumental. Under his leadership, we have earned the respect of the city, built important relationships, and demonstrated that this project is a benefit not just for our community, but for the wider Mountain House community as well.
This progress is the result of teamwork — board members, volunteers, and the entire community coming together with dedication and support.
What Comes Next
The journey is not over yet. The project must now go through the remaining procedural steps before it reaches the City Council meeting. That meeting will be the moment where final approval is decided.
